Involving Parents & Families Always
Involving Parents and Families in Childcare Ardrossan Here
at Busy Bees we find it extremely important to create a trusting
relationship between our nursery and the parents. This
is so you feel comfortable leaving your children in our care and have
great peace of mind while using our services. To keep communication
as our priority we regularly update our parents with information
regarding their child's development and also make you feel included
in all activity decisions. The parents at our nursery are always
welcome and we are proud to include them in our day to day
procedures.
Learning
Plans The
children's learning plans are not only filled out at the nursery
but also at home. We understand that a lot of learning and
development takes place at home so we encourage all parents to fill
out the plans at home. Each month your child will be given a learning
aim which can be achieved through their learning plan for example
toilet training, eating routines, learning developmental stages and we work
together to make sure they achieve these.
Learning
at Home Whatever
age group your child is in we encourage them to learn at home with
your support. When your child comes to our nursery we supply you with
links to exciting activities to take part in at home so you can spend
quality learning time with your children.
Parent
Groups Here
at Busy Bees we have parent groups where you are invited to attend with other parents e.g walking group, PEEPS group, Ican communicate sessions etc.
Personal Plans Our personal plans are personalised by using the "Get it Right for Every
Child" legislation. By using this method of care we are able to
complete a plan for each child that will develop their skills and
learning personally rather than with the nursery as a whole. Every 6
months we ask the parents to have a meeting with your child's
keyworker to look at progress and development and to discuss the next
steps.
Family
Events We
encourage our children to share special events with us that they have
attended with their family. If there is a wedding, a holiday or
special event your child is taking part in please let us know so we
can encourage them to discuss the event and learn how to present
their experiences with other children and staff.
Social
Events We
also encourage family members to take part in our own social events
so that everyone can interact together. These include Christmas
parades, quiz night and toddle etc.
